In November 19th we celebrated 300th anniversary of birth of the first Russian academician, our greatest scientist and just genius, Mikhail Vasilievich Lomonosov.
He was born in the village "Denisovka" (or Mishaninskaya) near Kholmogory, Arkhangelsk region, in the pomor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomors family.
Having an incredible craving for knowledge, he left his home at the age of 19 and went to Moscow, where joined the Slavic Greek Latin Academy (1731).
Later he studied at St.Petersburg Russian Imperial Academy of Sciences (since 1735) and the University of Marburg (1736-1741).

Hello, my friends...
Last months were too much overloaded. I still work every day, including weekends, and haven't enough time to realize all that my soul demands... One of the brightest events of this year, and even of my life, was Sting's "Symphonicity" show in St.Petersburg, and I'll write a special entry about it later...
